剧情简介
The Phil Hendrie Show aired from 1990 to 2006 in various radio markets. Docu from filmmaker Patrick Reynolds chronicles the life of a radio personality who dared to satirize the very medium he was part of, using a distinct and innovative method that hasn’t been attempted before or since. Of those weighing in on Hendrie in the docu are Bill Hader, Judd Apatow, Kevin Pollak, Henry Rollins, Derek Waters, Dana Gould and Wayne Federman. The film is narrated by them, as well as Hendrie himself as he drives through the streets of his hometown Oxnard, CA in a long black 1976 Cadillac Eldorado telling candid stories about his career as a radio nomad, and the difficulty of relentlessly pushing forward in a medium that didn’t always share his often-bizarre artistic vision.
